Christmas Bird Count For Kids: Arthur R. Marshall Lox Wildlife Rescue (Boynton Beach)

January 14, 2024 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Looking for some outdoor fun for your kids after the holiday break? Join us for the Christmas Bird Count for Kids on Sunday, January 14, 2023 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge!
Youth and families can become citizen scientists by taking part in this old tradition with a new twist, the Christmas Bird Count for Kids. The Christmas Bird Count, which began over 100 years ago, is one of the oldest wildlife surveys in not only North America but the world. Youth will learn how to identify birds, take part in “Binocular Boot Camp”, and go out into the field to count birds to help with citizen science and conservation efforts! This program is geared towards ages 8-16 and their families.
